A nutrition app that syncs with Oura
Connect your Oura and Sweatmeal sets today's calories and macros from the activity and workouts it records, instead of a flat formula that ignores how you trained.
What Sweatmeal reads from Oura
- Activity calories
- Your Oura's calories for the day. Oura reports active energy, so Sweatmeal adds your resting burn from your profile to reach the day's total.
- Workouts
- Each session with its type, start and end time, calories and heart rate where Oura has them. These decide whether today counts as a hard day or a rest day.
- Recovery score
- Used when Oura supplies one for the day. It is optional.
Sleep is not used. Nothing is written back to Oura.
How it becomes today's target
With Oura connected, the day's energy comes from your device rather than an equation. Because Oura's figure is active-only, the total is built from that plus your resting burn, and Sweatmeal treats it as a good estimate rather than a full measurement.
Your goal sets a daily deficit or surplus, then training cycles it: smaller on hard days, bigger on rest days. If you are cutting and a recovery score shows a low day, the deficit is eased.
Protein and fat are anchored to a fat-adjusted weight, and carbs are what is left: the energy the session earned. Your weight trend keeps correcting the burn over the weeks.
The full logic is on the methodology page: your goal sets a deficit or surplus, the day's training shapes it, and the target never drops below your resting metabolic rate.
